I'm having the same
DBD::mysql install issue: /mysql.so: undefined symbol:
compress
But I'm having it on
a PC; it seems to be to do with the lack of compression libraries, and is
covered in the INSTALL.html included with the bundle or viewable on CPAN, in the
'other files' section of the DBD::mysql module page.
