Still having problems with the Ultra 80 I've mentioned previously on
this list, which seems to randomly fall over up to twice a day.
No clues whatsoever in /var/log/syslog or /var/log/messages, or
anywhere else that I can see.
Kernel is 2.6.8-2-sparc64-smp.
Have done full POST tests, which

So it's dodgy memory.

I'm another person who can't boot off any of the CD images provided
by the debian mirrors.
I've tried about 10 different images and always get the same error
message, with or without the ramdisk_size=16000 option. The machine
