Hi Rich, That is quite a curious situation. The tftp was downloaded using the onboard OS whic Sun has, apart from their super LOM management software. The problem here is with the Debian boot, which may not have the modules needed for your network card. It does sound strange though. What happens,

Alternative Network Configuration

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew of a way ot have debian ask for various network configs during boot on my Netra. The thing is that it mainly uses a fixed configuration, and only needs a DHCP configuration once a week. Is there a way to have a program ask for Config A or Config B ? Thank

Hi Jim, It seems like it can't find the file. Make sure that the name of the kernel file in /boot has the exact same name and path in the silo.conf file. Create a link in "/" pointing to "/boot/your-kernel-image". Make sure you have a config like the following for your new image : image
