Oh well, back to work on RFC 3241 - "irc redefined as a bug, patch available".

to load the new lib before the old one)

Shouldn't hda2's start be greater than hda1's end?

ompile 2.4.9, hopefully you have more luck.
I had to compile an SMP kernel to get it to work, but I didn't have any other
problems.

I get this, too. To get it to compile, I comment those lines out, and insert
this instead:
#define P 0
As far as I can see, this is what should be happening anyway, so I don't know
why it doesn't work as it is.

I don't find that. I get this error:
Could not obtain CmdLine processing service

This is with kernel 2.2.17-pre6, compiled from the debian package. I did get
the same error after superformat caused an oops, but this is a clean boot this
morning, and I haven't tried superformat today.

I managed to install Debian potato from floppies on my Ultra 1 with no
problems. Slink's boot floppies didn't work though, while the contemporaneous
Redhat floppies did.

X vt7 -deferglyphs 16
to

I thought that was odd at the time, since Xsun's manual claims it will try
/dev/fb0, but this did the trick.
