Did you try 2.0.35 bootdisks or 2.2.1 ones ?
The latter seems not to boot on my sparc2 too.
About 2.0.35 bootdisks (resc1440.bin & drv1440.bin images) I got many read
errors. It appears my floppy drive is very sensitive to floppy medium quality.
