sorry for the break - I myself had one. Thanks for the replies, the path is
correct (try to add in the path, it will fail). My fault was the
attempt to download gcc-3.3. This did not work here.
dpkg -b gcc-3.3
What worked instead was to say
dpkg -b gcc
