Hi Ayo,
just guessin', did you try to boot with ide=nodma just for testing? In case
this would help you could try to find out "how much" dma is acceptable for
your drive.
This would be done by doing:
/sbin/hdparm -d1 -X /dev/hda
I've seen such issues on [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2.4, maybe this is not
