i've just upgraded binutils to 2.11.92.0.12.3-6. i noticed the waring
about "kernel linf failure info". i've also read thru bugs 131071 and
122168. it appears to pertain to the build process of 2.4.16.
i am running 2.4.16-k6 which i didn't compile myself, it comes from
the kernel-image pac
