Uh... slight problem! I was screwing with Apache... a non debian version. I wanted to totaly scrap the non deb version, and I deleted all the files. And one too many.. Mainly '/etc/init.d/apache' That file shows being in the Apache 1.1.1-5(or some number like that) debian release, but it does

color for minicom?

problems with X

I have installed Debian 1.1.9 and xbase, xlib, xserver-svga, and fvwm packages. I chose during xbase to use xdm to start x.. and during boot-up I see the message starting xdm.. however typing xdm at a root prompt doesn't do anything. I tried xinit and got the following output: XFree86 Version

problems with maelstrom

I have installed svgalib1, svgalib1-bin, and maelstrom packages. However when I try to run maelstrom I get the following message: VGA_FrameBuffer: requested mode not supported (or something like that) anyway I have an ARK Logic 2000PV so it SHOULD be supported (Maelstrom only uses 320x200 ).
