xautolock trouble

Ever since the latest updates of xautolock and xscreensaver, my screen saver (xautolock) has not been executing -- neither by timeout or a corner.. I double checked the command line parameters and permissions on xlock, and the're all correct.. anyone know what could be wrong? Thanks, -Paul --

dpkg won't remove a kernel-image package

I installed bo from scratch, using the base disks. This installed kernel-image-2.0.30 and /etc/modules. I have subsequently compiled (*) a custom kernel 2.0.30 that doesn't require any modules, and would like to remove the distribution kernel image, /etc/modules, and any other related files.

Problems during installation

I have a similar? problem. After a system crash from disk errors, a working diald/ppp setup will not connect correctly. The error message received is "serial line looped back". I could not find a description of this message anywhere. After uninstalling diald and using "pon", I am connected now.
