two) to all of them.
I got it working on 1 system, and it workes fine! But if I copy the
configuration files (/etc/gettydefs and /etc/inittab) they still don't work.

installation instructions. I don't know where it is on the CD-ROM, but
it is in /debian/dists/slink/main/disks-i386/current/ on the ftp sites.
Look for something similar in the directory structure.

It looks like that the kernel finds the card and everything seems to be
ok, but it doesn't make any sound.

Okay, people pointed out to me that .bash_profile isn't *supposed* to
execute in an xterm unless a special flag is used. Fine.
On further investigation, .bashrc *is* executing. And I get this
output:

add the following line to /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://ftp.netgod.net/ x/
this will source the slink versions of XF86 3.3.3.1
and the SVGA server is the one you need (I'm using a TNT card)
