xinetd and fetchmail

Debian Users, I'm trying to be security conscious. I've heard xinetd is the way to go when it comes to an internet super-server so I apt-get installed it. Only problem is that I can't get it to work with fetchmail. My xinetd.conf only contains one stanza. Here it is:

It might be that you don't have it set up as a handler. Look in /etc/apache/srm.conf for AddHandler cgi-script .cgi I think it's commented out by default. Just uncomment it, and change your script's extenstion to .cgi (You could add .pl as a handler, but it's better just to stick with cgi). Hope

Did the upgrade work OK? Did you get any errors while xserver-xfree86 was configured? A partially configured XFree86 could be troublesome, I guess. Try 'dpkg --configure xserver-xfree86'. If you get an error message, try 'ln -s /usr/bin/X11/XFree86 /etc/X11/X'. The postinstall script of xfree86

I am running Potato with 2.2.17 for a kernel and KDE2 as my desktop. I have a cs4232 audio card. When I was running Slink I had no trouble running the audio card but when I upgraded, I have not been able to get it to work at all. If I cat a audio file out to /dev/audio the device is always busy.
