Where to find source of information/examples?
Is there any better solution than libwww-perl?
(note that the problem persists using "lynx -post_data")
Thanks in advance,

configuration the following line is present:
LoadModule php3_module /usr/lib/apache/1.3/libphp3.so
No other references to PG or PHP modules are present.
Does anybody have an idea of what to do to activate
postgres functions in php3?
Thanks,

I'm running an uptodate version of potato.
Does anybody know about this dependency bug?
Any idea/suggestion?

Does anybody out there know about the following problem?

I accidentally pushed the reset button!
This resulted in a lot of errors in the disk and
several files lost.
Could anybody tell me how to check the system consistency?
a.
I accidentally removed the directory /etc/gdm
I deselected gdm and removed it an then selected
and reinstalled. But gdm.conf is missing.
Where can I find it?
a.
Reinstalled gdm: it works.
However, xhost + tells:
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 111
xhost: unable to open display ":0.0"
and so does any X application launched from an xterminal.
Why?
On Mon, 17 Jan 2000, Albert
After upgrading Xfree to 3.3.6, some problems arose:
- gdm no longer works (/etc/init.d/gdm starts does nothing)
- startx as user says
"X: you are not authorised to run the X server"
Any idea?
Thanx,
Alberto
1. Debian menu under gnome is empty but in the enlightenment
menu is well "visible".
2. cannot "xhost + ...":
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errno = 111
xhost: unable to open display ":0.0"

Does anybody out there use this UPS to protect
Linux boxes from power failure?
I'm trying to figure out what is the best among
all the available packages (apcd, pacupsd, genpower,
...), to manage such a kind of UPS.
I'm getting more and more confused
Is this normal? I mean, that so low bogomips value.

I don't know how it happened (surely I did
something stupid) but it seems that almost
all the man pages are lost.
Is there any way to recover from this without
reinstalling all the packages?
a.
You can use "sudo" or fakeroot" (see documentation)
or similar, to give the user the permission
to run reserved programs.

The problem disasppeared today after an n-th upgrade.
I noticed that, before upgrading procps, ldconfig
complained about the absence of /usr/lib/libproc.so.
I think the problem was related to this.

modified the 2nd machine lilo.conf and booted the 1st

I've heard that it is for security reasons that it disappeared.
And that all the r-commands will be packed in some "netkit-rsh" in
the next future (I hope so).
