Apology for this question. Supposed there is a large
organization where ''/usr/local'' is reserved for the real
local of any system.
Supposed HQ introduced package ''hq-vi'' which is a
modification of vim. But, a branch also introduced
''branch-hq-vi'' which is a different modification of vim too.
Hi,
Does anyone in this list run Minix under qemu? It seems there
is a "PCI'' problem so that qemu 0.9.0 can not emulate the
REALTEK 8029 ethernet chip. Please let me know if you have
heard this problem (and solution -- URLs, mailing lists, etc.).
Meanwhile, I have un-installed qemu, and put back

man 8 update-alternatives is a good start ..
Thank you! It is a good start.
Not sure what you mean by 'using' it, as in determining the default
editor or some other program? Or changing them?
E.g. what if I would like to build my own java .deb package.
I need an example on how to inform that
Hi,
May I know where to find information about how to use

Hi,
Suppose there exists large-company.com and
branch1.large-company.com. Both are producing "local packages"
which may conflict with each others.
Question:
Is it OK to use /opt/com/large-company/ and
/opt/com/large-company/branch1/ for local packages?
Or should /usr/local/com/large-company/ and
I can open x application (such as xterm or eog...) well.
However, from host B

I found there is no DISPLAY environment var,
Are you allowed to run X (e.g xlock) from B locally?
(i.e. without ssh to another host?).

This is just my Euro 0.01 opinion:
180 days is reasonable for new disks.
Perhaps you would like to lower it when your disk goes ol

Hi,
The default of gmail.com's "Reply-To: " is yourself.
If you do not like that, you need to click "Settings"
and fill "Reply-To: " with "< >". Do not forget that
there is a space between "<" and ">".
