I'm going to use slink, but I need X 3.3.3 (I have a Matrox G200), so I'm
getting the 3.3.3.1 svga server right now... What more do I need? Can there
be problems with mixing different versions?

I though I'd try potatoe, but there are no iso's available (duh..). What do
I need to burn to install from bootfloppy + cd's? I've found potatoe at a
fast local ftp site, and my guess is that what I need is att the files in
the dists/potato/ dir, and also all the packages in the dir's
dists/potato
Where can I find info on the ext2 file system? I'm writing an OS and will
probably need ext2 support...
When I install a package that gets run at boot and then remove it, the files
in /etc/init.d and /etc/rc?.d stays behind. Is this a 'feature' for not
accidently removing config stuff, or just some strange behavior?
I'm trying to get debian working with DHCP, but something's wrong. The DHCP
client loads at boot, and when I run ifconfig the eth0 unspec addr, Bcast
and Mask all say '[NONE SET]'.
What is RX resp. TX packets?
Oki. I just put a 'defaults' there... What does nosuid, nodev and use do?
Where is the man page for this? (Not the normal man fstab)

What do I put in my fstab to be able to mount the floppy with just 'mount
/mnt/floppy'? Currently I have a line, but that one makes the system try to
mount it at boot, which fails...

I can't get my mouse to work... It's a standard MS serial mouse 2.0a, 2
button. It's connected to COM1. When running gpmconfig it says /dev/:
Operation not supported by device, and then gpmconfig puts it som
/dev/ttyS0, and I get another Operation not supported by device.

Oh, forgot one thing... I don't know what gfx card is in this box, has XF
evolved since I tried it last, or do I still have to know what card it is?

I want to install debian at a computer of mine here at work. I'm installing
over ftp from a dist site. Now, I don't have a static IP, so I'd like to use
our DHCP server during the install. Is this possible? I didn't find a way...
