Hello Darac and Raoul,
Thank you for your answers. The MIBS and MIBFILES environment variables
override the snmp.conf "mibs" and "mibfile". When you add the "+" caracter
it should load the list of modules in addition to the default.
It works when you export the MIBS=ALL, so the case is that the MIB
Folks,
I have recently installed snmp and noticed that due to a license issue the
MIBS are deployed in a different package called snmp-mibs-downloader that

If your Virtual Box network is NAT'd you will need to open the ports.
For example, suppose you want to ssh into the Virtual machine:
$ VBoxManage setextradata

$ VBoxManage setextradata

Hi gang,
I currently have /boot and / (root) on raid 1 with mdadm. Which is useful
for me specially when I patch the server because I break the mirror prior
the patching and if something goes wrong is pretty straight forward to
synchronize the mirror the other way around and fall back all the cha

clock. This is what I do in my home's system.
# rdate time.mit.edu && hwclock --systohc
2- Install openntpd and run the an ntp client as a daemon. This is what I do
Try the 686 Kernel instead of the 383.

Awesome!! Thank you very much Mr. Florian Kulzer!
You hit the nail on the head, plus you explained the issue in a very clear
and easy way.
I'll convert all my files to utf8, set my editors correctly and ofcourse add
that package into my tex files header.

Well...
As far as now we have advanced in discussing where the swap partition should
be (the location on the hard disk)... or even if is convenient to have a
swap file or a disk partition...
Are we in conditions to make a wrap up and a close up conclusion?
What do you think?

Hello,
To answer the original question, I use to put my swap file in /boot file
system:
#dd if=/dev/zero of=/boot/swap bs=512k count=1024
#mkswap /boot/swap
#swapon /boot/swap
Then I edit /etc/fstab and add the following entry:
/boot/swap noneswapdefaults0 0
