On a potato system after upgarding xterm to 3.3.6 I am unable to start
xterm as a regular user (starting as root works). The ~/.xsession-errors
file says:
xterm: Error 14, errno 13: Permission denied
The xterm binary is:
-rwxr-sr-x1 root utmp 161680 Jan 15 03:53
Hi,
I had the same problem recently with the same motherboard. Changing the
'PCI Latency' in the BIOS from 0 to 32 completly eliminated this
phenomenon. Since then there is no problems with bus mastering or hdparm
from bo (kernel 2.0.33). My HDD is a Quantum 1.6 G.
Best regards
Attila
