Sure, that would work!
But it does seem a shame to no
I'd like to use the TV as an extra display for my laptop. Basically,
as if it were connected with an HDMI cable, but over the network. And
use both displays, the same way one usually uses two displays.
Unless there's a usage of x11vnc that I don't understand, there are
two issues with using x11vnc
lays and enable/configure the new display
- enjoy extra screen without dog chewing HDMI cable
Bonus points for getting pulseaudio to have a new sink that sends
audio output to the outgoing stream.
Cheers,

Thanks, that sounded like a good idea.
But it didn't work either for a new size or even when I give a size
which was the same as the default size:
$ cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Section "Screen"
Identifier "TarskTripleTrouble"
SubSe
7;{t
+= $1} END {print t}'
9600
9600.
(Further hardware details below.)
Two question.
(a) What happened? Is this due to wayland? Is this a regression? Should I
report a bug?
(b) Can I fix it? (If so, I'll doc on the appropriate debian wiki.)

mail,
which constantly goes "back" when I'm merely moving my mouse. Could
this be some tricky javascript business? Yuck.
