Does anyone know if the Debian kernel in the Infomagic Dec 1996 CDROM distribution is broken for modules? I have found an old 486 machine and put my Debian HD in it. After recompiling the kernel to use modules as much as possible, the new kernel does not boot properly and either gives a panic
