After that, your sound card should work flawlessly.

I just realized that because i had both iceweasel 2.0.0.8 and Firefox 3
on my system, they were both reading the same config file, and Firefox
was named 2.0.0.8 in there...that's why google toolbar was
complaining...Edited it to 3.0.0 and that solved my problem.

I use debian stable (sarge) and the dhcp3-client package. I register
my hostname by adding

the DHCP/DNS server (which I don't control) loses the hostname

Now the big question: How could the installer affect the hard drive in such
a way that it freezes the BIOS? Even if it messes up the MBR and all the
partitions, I should still be able to get into the BIOS setup, right?

hi there debian! sorry to bug you but when i installed linux, enlightenment
and gnome don't install. I know i selected the right packages but they still
won't install. I went in through dselect but it says my packages conflict
