I had to create my resolv.conf from scratch, not a big
deal and I have apt-get lynx-ssl and vim...so I am on
my way...thanks for the help
also, how do I apt-get X?
And, what other packages should I apt-get?

Thanks to everyone who helped me setup the static
ipaddress. I can now ping and do loopback. The only
problem is that now I ran /usr/sbin/apt-setup and it
cannot resolve any of the www addresses that I select.
any ideas why?

2.4.18-bf2.4 yesterday and when it came time to load
modules for my NIC, which is a 3Com Fast Etherlink XL
10/100 Base TX, it was giving me errors. Since I
can't get this machine on my network, unable to get
apt-get up as well.
What do I have to do
