Im still with the xauth issues.. but to make matters more weird, i found
out that if i start an afterstep X session, i can run any program i
installed as root, like mozilla, with no problems! however , if i get
into a Ximian GNOME session, via gdm, as a normal user... iget the Xlib

im having this *very* strange error in deb 2.2 , ximian gnome...
if i am not root, i can for example open gdmconfig, but it says i
need to be root to change things; so i su - myself up to root, but
when i type gdmconfig, i get this error:

RC is a software designed to handle package
management/installation/updates automatically, finding

I apt-get'ed ximian gnome a while ago, i got 1 failed package (x-
screensavers) wich couldnt be fixed even with install -f , guess i'll
have to fetch the .deb manually , right?
anyway, the issue is that every new window i open up in gnome
