Sorry if this has already been reported, but the console-data package in Woody
(the
new unstable) has a problem
with the default keymap. I renamed it and used the old one and everything is
ok.

Maybe that's all that's needed.

I'm afraid not. I'm just going to wait - I might email the maintainers
for

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Does anyone out there know of a way to get potato on CD. The CD's I
have only have slink. I don't have a CD burner and find CD's a convient
way to keep a back up of my system.

you built your kernel. Following the readme shipped in /usr/doc/ for
kernel package, I ran the make-kpkg clean first and that's when I got
errors. I'll try it your way tonight when I get to my machine.

You're quite correct. I had to build first to check, since I had cleaned
after the last build. Running make-kpkg clean again in a cleaned source
tree seems not to make no difference though..
Do you get any errors when you ran make-kpkg clean ?

Seems to be a problem with the package list for unstable at ftp.debian.org.
One of the packages (aleph-dev) is causing the problem.
. Thanks.

This works only if you are running TCL 7.5 and TK4.0. How hard would it
be to upgrade to tcl 8.0 tk 8.0?

If it helps, I install kdebase out of slink last weekend. Couldn't find
krdb either. I also used the locate command after doing updatedb.
Nothing.

After getting the latest libc6 out of slink, I now get the mentioned message.
Ideas, anyone. (dselect, apt are now crippled).
I am running Elm 2.4ME+PL43 (25), of Jun,1998.
When I try to read the the debian user list digest, I get a message that says I
am executing false. Any help appreciated.
How do you apply patches to the kernel ? I tried it and got
rejections. I'm trying to bring my kernel up to 2.0.32. I have the
debian linux source for 2.0.30 installed (I believe it is level 9).
