Hi all,
Am taking the plunge to potato using apt-get dist-upgrade
and the one source I have in /etc/apt/sources.list is:
http://http.us.debian.org/debian potato main contrib non-free
I've already received 10 error 404 file not found, so I'm asking
what else I should put in sources.list.

I too have a question on the cp command. When used it always ask rm the file
I'm
trying to copy. Is cp copy or remove? Also can't one specify a place on a
directory
with a new name to place a file in a newly created file. I keep getting the
response
that directory doesn't have a file

Check your defragging program to see if there are any options. You need to
move all
files to the front of the hard drive. I've had Nortons utility which does this
easily.

Since its a new computer, why not go to your vendor? Should have been some

I have norton's utilities and the main thing they stress is don't install
during a
problem.
Something about screwing up files while trying to install. If you already have
it
installed
