Hello all,

Being new to this list, I have a question concerning an IDE RAID issue
(I suppose).

I have to install a Compaq Proliant 310. It has an integrated IDE RAID
controller (LSI).

First problem : the woody installer doesn't recognize my hard drive.

Solution : Use bf24 vanilla kernel. I suppose the IDE RAID controller is
the problem here.

Installing with bf24 works perfectly. But I have to recompile my kernel
for several reasons.

How can I make my kernel to recognize my Raid controller just at boot
time ?

A kernel that I compiled (2.4.22) returns me a Kernel Panic (unable to
mount root fs) whereas I put ext2 and others directly in the kernel.

Thanks for all the help you can give.
