Weâd need to know moreâ what exactly is this I/O Gear USB
adapter, which chipset it uses, how you tried to use and error
messages you got â all detailed and exact.
But basically, anything [OU]HCI should work, if it doesnât it
may be defective.

There are several different pieces of software there with
several levels of IPv6 compatibility. Some will require an update to
testing.

You certainly have a very strange bind9 configuration. You'll
have to post it here.

ou sure the problem is resolution? How? It could
resolve fast then take ages to fetch the pages.

No. One has only small CD images of around 100 MiB.

Had something similar in 2.6.4, but I don't ever edit
XF86Config directly, telling dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 not to
use the framebuffer did the trick.

Possibly in policy. As you are violating policy anyway by using RPM, it
shouldn't worsen anything.

Should I file a bug against the Emacs policy? site-start.d files
aren't simply configuration, but running code; therefore, it seems to me
they should be removed always, not only with a purge.

I never got this to work. I just compiled my own kernel with
built-in LVM (not a module).
And RAID too.
