Hi,
I installed my custom kernel and went to run `depmod -a'. I get the
following error:
modprobe: error reading ELF header: no such file or directory
I can go back to the previous kernel and run depmod happily. What
gives?

Giuseppe

recognized but not configured.
Anybody who could give me a few pointers?
I enclose the output from the message and daemon.log files.

Howdy,
On my system at fairly regular intervals (every couple of days) diald
dies without reason.
When that happens the routing table shows no sign of sl0. The pid file
is left in place (which suggests that diald didn't exit cleanly). No
traces are left in any of the logs.

Is anybody using a UPS with debian who would care to email how they
are faring?
Is APC a good UPS to buy? Do I need a special cable? And how should I
go about sizing the UPS (I mean, do I need a 200W UPS if the power
supply of my box is 200W)?
Thanks,

Hi,
I'm the diald maintainer. That doesn't mean I can give you any useful

Sorry I didn't reply to you last message, but I'm not particularly
skilled in networking (I maintain diald only because when I installed
Debian the first time diald was not part of the distribution) and I

There have been a few buggy LaTeX packages around. I had the same problem.
I found that by explicitly defining the variables below everything would

I would like to try out the Advanced Power Management features in
my PC. However I haven't been able to enable APM in the kernel.
When I do make xconfig I do nt see any obvious switch referring
to APM.
What am I missing? Could anybody who's ben using APM tell me if
they're happy with it?
Thanks,
The LaTeX in Debian seems to be broken. Revision 2e-4 didn't seem to
find the standard classes and packages. Revision 2e-7 dies on installation.
Has anybody been successful with LaTeX?
Thanks,
