Recently I downloaded the latest Debian disk images from ftp.debian.org.
However I noticed that the rescue disk image was not the usual resc1440.bin,
instead it was resc1743.bin. I have Debian Linux running on my PC at home,
however I am having problems using superformat/fdformat and dd to wri

Hi All,
I am a newbie who is trying to upgrade from Debian 1.3.1 r6 to Debian
v2.0 ("Hamm"). However I am unable to find the Perl Base package
required for the upgrade using the autoup.sh script. Can someone point
me to the correct place? Thanks.

I am a newbie to Debian. Recently I installed Debian 1.3 on my PC from
diskettes. It is working fine. However I downloaded some Debain packages
which are larger than 1.44M (diskette size). How can I install these
packages? I have DOS/Windows tools like pkzip, arj, gzip but I am not
sure how
