When I mount Windows partition or cdrom, I receive a short file name.
How could I get the long file name supported for this?
Thanks,

Hi,
I have a No Brand name PCI sound card with ESS ES1898 Allegro Chipset.
Please anyone knows which sound module I have to use for this sound card?
Thanks,
I also have this card and have the same problem.
I use the driver disk came with the card.
When I type "make", I can't build the files, tulip.o and pci-scan.o.
Anyone knows what wrong with it?

I am quite new to Linux Debian.
I have Debian 2.2r2 on my machine and upgrade it with Progeny Linux image
package.
If I want to upgrade the kernel to 2.4, what should I do?
Or please point me to the doc I can follow.
Thanks,
Mongkol
