Hi,
I added /etc/init.d/tightvncserver to start a VNC server. It looks fine --
I have the LSB comments and it works when invoked directly from the
command-line, e.g.
cd /etc/init.d
./tightvncserver start
But update-rc.d gives an error:
root@debian01:/etc/init.d# update-rc.d tightvncserver defau
I'm looking for the simplest, quickest way to setup VNC Server so I can
access my Debian machine from Windows. There are a number of ways found on
the web -- is there a best practice?
I had heard people mention looking for ATI drivers
for Linux. I am in no way affiliated with this site, and I have not used
these drivers. I just stumbled across these and want to put them out for
reference. They are about a 1/4 of the way downmaybe
less.

I use fdisk and do the same thing.

Google has pointed me in the direction of "mkfs", but if I type
mkfs /dev/hd
Where do I put this in at without a prompt? I can't get one to come up
during the boot.

Is there a way to stop the system from loading
before getting to windows and getting just the command prompt to come. I
screwed up xserver, and now it freezes when it loads. I need to stop the
system before it loads. I don't think I am using the right terminology on
my search for it becau
And here I was thinking it was a bad spelled porn siteHope some others

itions are set. You can tell me if they are wrong,
but that is how I have them I probably should put my swap at the beginning
of the drive. Anything else you can throw at me would be helpful.

Raid-5 on mybox last night. Here is what I did. I downloaded
and installed raidtools2 and mdadm. Do I need both? Next I wrote my
raidtab file. Here is what it looked like:
raiddev /dev/md0
