I am currently running a stable distribution of debian, but want to get Perl 5.6 installed. I noticed it is not in the stable distribution. What would be the safest/best/easiest way to get it installed? I'm a pretty new linux user, so be gentle. :) Thanks.

I am running a dual cpu box and would like to get top to display the load on each cpu seperately. When I briefly had Mandrake 7.2 installed, top showed each cpu individually, so it obviously can be done. How can I configure it to do so?
