I was installing Potato last night and I selected the module for the 3C59x,
which supports my 3C905C-TX-M network card. During the install process, the
install program was unable to configure dhcp for some reason.
So my questions are: how do I get dhcp working if setup couldn't?
Jeff Flowers
directions or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Id say they are the right images. They'd be the
old potato boot disks, which would do the job.
The base2_2.tgz base image will be different
most probably.
Kind Regards
Crispin
Even the base2_2.tgz has a Jun 13 date. I'm started to get frustrated
because I am looking all over the Debian ftp
for your help.

Does Debian support the SB512PCI? This is the same chipset
as the SBLive! cards, an EMU. If so, how do you do it.
Thanks,
Jeff Flowers
Greetings,
I have been using Debian on and off for some time. However, I have not
yet seen how to add sound to a Debian system. Is there a package for
Debian that supports sound? If it matters, I have an ESS 1371.
Thanks

Is there any problems downloading and installing Wordperfect for Linux
on Debian 2.1 (Slink)? I just need to know before downloading a 28 MB
file.
TIA,
Jeff
I have successfully downloaded and installed the base slink dist. on floppy.
I would like to install a minimal X Window system so that I can run
Netscape, as I do not like configuring Unix for email. What .deb packages
would work for me?
Also, I have a nVidia TNT card with 16MB of VRAM. Can I get
