Can you give an example?
There is a difference between win/Linux name resolving, that is most
visible when using internal network resolution, in particular the ones
without a domainname:
ping "mymachine" in Linux tries to do a dns nam

Try 'insmod apm'. If the module loads then your shutdown/reboot should
