Chris Tillman suggested... Check out people.debian.org/~blade, I think there is a later greater bf24 version there. And it worked perfectly! Well, still didn't recognize the D-Link that it should have, but the included eepro100 did work on my onboard, so I'm quite the happy. Thanks to
