I am seeing odd behavior running a Xen 4.0.1 on AMD64 (squeeze) I am running open-iscsi to connect to a lun, and then using this lun as a phy type backing store for a xen hvm guest.
Disk performance works well from dom0 directly (mkfs.ext3 proceeds at a reasonable speed) but when I try do a install from the hvm guest (debian amd64 netboot (PXE)) the disk speed slows to a crawl and messages like: (XEN) grant_table.c:1956:d0 Could not get src frame 207949 (XEN) printk: 481 messages suppressed. (XEN) grant_table.c:1956:d0 Could not get src frame 2079b0 (XEN) printk: 670 messages suppressed. (XEN) grant_table.c:1956:d0 Could not get src frame 207647 (XEN) printk: 481 messages suppressed. (XEN) grant_table.c:1956:d0 Could not get src frame 207c25 appear in xm dmesg I've repeated an identical install process using the i386 version of the pxe/netboot installer without any issue.
