I can confirm this bug as well in gnome shell. Exactly same symptoms.

assemble fail raid first:
#mdadm -A /dev/mdX /dev/sdX /dev/sdY
then check status:
#cat /proc/mdstat
or
#mdadm --detail /dev/mdX
If mdam does not start then you could use -f (force).
After properly assembled raid you could mount it:
sysman/lib/snmccolm.o' is
> incompatible with i386:x86-64 output
This set of errors is more worrying - looks like you're trying
to link 32 and 64 bit binaries. It seems, that at least part of the
package is 32 bit. It's guaranteed to conflict with a 64 bit system.

of the installation setup does not differ from 10.2 as far
as I remember.
As for a step by step installation guide I should have it
somewhere in my backups - I'll try to find it and post it later on.
