Hello people.
I'm very puzzled about this. For some reason php5 package under Etch
only has "zip" as Registered PHP Streams. But I noted php5 under
Lenny has "zip, php, file, data, http, ftp, compress.bzip2,
compress.zlib, https, ftps".
I'm having some problems because of that. I'm st
Hello, I'm not sure this is the correct list to ask this but I was asked
to install Debian on a Sparc machine but not all CDs/DVDs are available
to download under main download server.
Take a look at: http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/5.0.1/sparc/iso-cd/
and http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-
Guys, any idea besides memory problems that can cause this? I already
double checked memory with memtest and didn't find any problem. I also
checked for heat, but the machine is in a datacenter very, very cold.
Could be an electrical problem?
Thanks for any thought you have!

Hi people.
Please, give me some help here. Where is the correct way to report a
problem with new 4.0r2 DVD images?
Let me explain what I found. First, it is not big deal, but in my case
it is pretty annoing.
Usually I use DVD images as a local repository. It is simple, just mount

Hi. Recently I built a desktop with etch. A Intel Core 2 Duo with a
Intel D975XBX2 (BadAxe II) mobo.
I was amazed how things got recognized well at first time. SATA
controler, mainboard NIC... Everything appears to be working great until
I tried to capture some sound from an output using line-in.

Anybody knows if we have something like "what" command under Debian as
under HP-UX?
It is a little bit hard to google some info because "what" is a common
word. ;-)
Tks
Marcello.

Probably you are tired to see tons of questions like this, but...
I have two new servers coming for a critical mission application. My
question is simple, will sarge i386 port (32 bit only) runs fine under
an AMD64 X2?
For example, if I install kernel 2.6.8-k7-smp it will see 2 CPUs?

Andy, are you using testing or unstable right?
From messages Ed has sent he appears to be using stable, so unless he
uses packages from another branch he cannot use madwifi-dev,
madwifi-source and madwifi-tools.
I have a dwl-g510 too and to make it works I have had to install madwifi
from tarball
I don't use this deb package from madwifi site, it is out of date. Use
the last snapshot tarball at http://snapshots.madwifi.org/.
