I am currently using the php-gd package as a supplement to PHP4. It doesn't
have gif/jpg support; only png support. I was wondering if there were
unofficial packages with the gif/jpg support, or perhaps another solution
besides recompiling php from scratch.
Thanks.

When I point my browser to http://localhost/~moonkhan I just time out. There is
a public_html directory there and the site loads up fine if I append a / to the
end of the URL like so: http://localhost/~moonkhan/
Is there an Apache setting that allows this that Debian turns off?
