Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone has ever used the 'server' of Veritas Netbackup on a
Debian installation?
It says it supports redhat out of the box, and I'm wondering if it will
support debian with a few modifications. It seems as if it will.

Couldn't possibly do it because I needed the drivers that I compiled
especially for my non working scsi card..
Now I have to figure out how to package my kernel into an installer.

I just modded a kernel to my liking with the appropriate modules/drivers..
how can I throw that into an installer for debian.. so if My system crashes
and such... and I can get it right away.
Or is there a boot floppy I can make?

I have a bare new ssytem (but with the correct modules installed for my
network interface cards and scsi controller...
How can i move all the files from the ide to the new scsi disk.. and get it
to boot up on it.
I mean.. obviously.. the best thing to do is to partition the scsi disk in
the same
that scsi module?
Or more importantly.. how can I transfer everything over to the SCSI Drive..
including the boot sectors.. so I can boot off the SCSI disk.. instead..
removing the IDE DEVICE
Coolness
Thanks,
Paul

I'm attempting to add additional ip's to my interfaces and am having
trouble..:
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.0.110
netmask 255.255.255.0
network 192.168.0.0
broadcast 192.168.0.255
gateway 192.168.0.1
# Second
auto eth0:26
iface eth0:26
.. and reboots.
has anyone heard of such a thing ever? Is it something with the driver
manipulation.. or perhaps is the card sending shitty frames to my win box..
or is it just too fast, if you will, for the 3c905 that's in my win box?

I'm trying to get it to work.. but am having a miserable time.
