I have a system that runs root on raid. There are currently 2 kernels installed in the system. 2.6.15-1 and 2.6.10-1. If I boot up on 2.6.16-1 the system will say it can't findmy root filesystem on /dev/md0 and drop me into the busybox shell. If I
imediately drop into 2.6.10-1 it boots fine.
As of Friday I lost sound on my IBM R50 after I did a dist-upgrade. All the drivers load, alsaconf detects the intel chipset correctly and the modules load. Even the alsamixer looks correct, nothing is muted. No sound other than speaker beeps (^G) though.
Anyone have any ideas?--
I've happily been playing NeverWinter Nights on my Debian Unstable
Linux system for quite some time. In the last month I've started
having a problem I can't trace down. The 3D world just turns black,
grey or whatever the background color is but the overlay HUD, the chat
boxes, etc are all there.
I'm trying to configure Mutt at my office to handle 2 different IMAPS

mailboxes imaps://archives
mailboxes imaps://archives/corporate

I'm trying to configure X on a Debian-3.0 Stable system. I just got
a new IBM workstation which has an Intel 82845 video card. Anyone
have any ideas what the driver name and Vendor name for this booger
would be?

I've got a samba server up and sharing out my printer to my test
windows machines. I just went to setup my printer on one of the
windows boxes and it said the drivers aren't there for my HP 882C. Is
there a place on my Samba server i can put the drivers so that the XP
system will auto-install
I'm going to be using a new Calendar system at work and unless I
want to run Outlook or some such I need a way of letting
Mutt/Pine/Kmail, etc handle ics attachments for the free/busy and
schedule aspects. The server software in question is CommuniGatePro
from Stalker.
Anyone have any ideas?
