Hi
How do I connect an old laptop without WiFi (but with free USB ports and
working wired Ethernet card) running Debian stable to a WiFi network,
without installing non-free software on the laptop? What devices would
you recommend?

Sometimes it works, but usually it doesn't. I also sometimes have sound
in my headphones, but not in my lap

Ok, but what other driver shall I use instead?
According to ThinkPad Wiki nv driver works:

Good point, but:
1. those stack traces are always nouveau related
2. memtest86+ yields nothing
3. often upon logging into X, before the desktop appears, I am get
Hi!
My old Lenovo ThinkPad T61 laptop reboots by itself from time to time.
Usually without a clue, but this time I was able to capture the stack
trace:

How to debug it? I've installed linux-image-3.16.0-4-amd64-dbg package:

I just killed pulseaudio, and have sound on another user (not the one
running the X session). The user logged in to X has still no sound.
This is nuts.
My sound has stopped working. A couple of days ago everything was OK.
Here is my pulseaudio log. Does it look normal? Or is my soundcard broken?
Or maybe the sound is just muted, how to unmute it?
$ /usr/bin/pulseaudio -v
I: [pulseaudio] main.c: setrlimit(RLIMIT_NICE, (31, 31)) failed:

Hi
How do I enable sound for multiple users in Debian Jessie?
I have tried adding those other users to the audio group but it doesn't
help.

Hi
After upgrading from Wheezy to Jessie, the machine started to crash
randomly (several times a day).
Once I even had some kind of error log on the screen, but didn't manage
to take a photo of it, and after the (automatic) reboot there was no
trace of it in syslog.

Hi
I am looking for plain Debian hosting, i.e. running unmodified Debian
software. What can you recommend and why? A cheap VPS will be sufficient
for me at this point.
I am aware of this page: https://wiki.debian.org/DebianHosting , however
it is not quite accurate!
For example OVH does its own
