emacs and libungif

I noticed problems displaying some images with w3m-el in emacs and I noticed that gif-support is complied out. I remade the package locally from source and it seems to work fine, now. I was just wondering why it wasn't compiled in. Should I be worried about something? Thanks, Tom S. -- Quote o

I strongly recommend the calendar that comes with Emacs (calendar.el): 1) its almost certainly already on your system. 2) its very versatile 3) it stores you appointments in text files 4) since Emacs is cross-platform for almost everything, it can be used anywhere on virtually every machine. The
