advertise is a much improved version of the (old and outdated) version
contained in the official XFree packages.
If that laptop has a somewhat recent SiS chip, you will very soon know
why you should install the new driver...

xserver crashes on my machine with a signal 11 on any screen activity on
the backgrounded x-screen (eg. screen saver, or webbrowser building a
page)
With font anti-aliasing switched OFF, the server continues working.

worse, when the webbrowser draws anything in its windows such as an
animated GIF.
I believe that this has to do with xfree86 4.1.0 because BOTH phenomena
do not appear under 3.3.6 (using the FBDev flavor).
1) Anyone experiencing the same phenomena?
2) Any ideas on how to change this?
