My backspace key has suddenly stopped working in X.
Now it acts like a [Delete] Key.
This happened when my KBD package died along with my /usr/loal/
directory, but did not recover when I reinstalled KBD.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks,
Timothy

I just got my Adaptec 152x SCSI adapter to work However, two weird

light on

Is there a neat utility to display what things are using what IRQs?
Thanks,
Timothy
Sounds like you have an IRQ conflict. Read the 'dmesg' output and see
exactly what interrupt the serial port is on, and make sure it's not
the same interrupt as another card.

Yes, I have the newewst libpaperg installed: Aside from the error I get

Thanks for everyones help with the PPP problem. It's fixed now. :).

Hi,
I'm helping a friend setup debian on his computer; he uses the same
ISP as me, so I set it up just like mine.
It didn't work immediately (It just disconnected shortly after connect),
so I added +chap to the options file to make sure it was using the
CHAP auth that the server wanted.
Now
Yes, we use the same dialup number and everything. Our ISP only authenticates
with CHAP, so we have to use this chap-secrets thing.
The chap secrets, now mode 600, in /etc/ppp has - Hisusername * Hispassword -

The PPP.log says:

Hi,
I would like to setup my system to do two things.
To check periodically to see if my PPP connection has died, and redial

And to disconnect and redial every 6 hours, (my isp doesn't like it if
you stay one more than 6 hours consecutively).
What would be the best way to go
