Hi, I have searched the HOWTOs but can't seem to find out how to set up my
firewall which is using IP masquerading to save cache, is this even
possible?

Hi, just after I managed to get my cable modem working under linux I
noticed some funny things started happening to my computer. For example,
when I login it gives me the message:
"PAM_unix[390]: (login) session opened for user root by LOGIN(uid=0)"
and then after the login message it says:

installing it over ftp, with a PCMCIA card, through a wingate proxy.

I have noticed that if I accidently 'more' or 'cat' or whatever a binary
file and the terminal displays unreadable characters, the best thing to do
is to 'more' the file again, keep pressing space until the more prompt
which says the percentage at the bottom changes back to readable
characters and
Hi, I have just set my cable modem up under linux and am trying to get a
firewall up and running. My local network traffic is handled on eth0 and
the cable modem traffic is using eth1. Is there any way I can stop DHCP
from assigning an IP address to both cards? I only want to get an IP

This could be it, as I have a cable modem connected straight into my hub,
and another computer on the network being the firewall, however it only
has one card so it is using the one ethernet card for both the cable modem
and the LAN.

Whenever my mail file gets too large, my mail administrator moves all the
mail in my inbox to ~/Mail/huge.mail. Is it possible to set up pine 4.21
so that i can read huge.mail and use it as another mail folder?
