Still trying to install slink.
Somebody on the list suggested that I install hamm and then upgrade to
slink as the 1743 resue disk won't work on my system.
I cannot seem to find any instructions or FAQ to show how to "upgrade"
to slink from hamm. Maybe I am just looking in the wrong place. Can
Thanks for the info. As I have a very pressing need to get a copy of slink up
and
running, any idea how I might get my hands on this new rescue image ASAP? It
presently is not at any of the sites I know of. Alternatively, is there a cd
image of
slink yet?

Well, this gets me further. "rawrite2 -f resc1743.bin -d a:" writes all
cylanders but returns a bad sector message at the end of the run. When I
try to boot from this disk I get "Boot Failed".
Suggestions?

How to you correctly make a slink rescue disk?
I downloaded resc1743.bin. First I tried superformating a 1.743 disk
and running rawrite2. No go. Had trouble with anything past cyl 81.
Then I downloaded resc1743 to a hamm box and ran "dd if=resc1743.bin
of=/dev/fd0u1743 bs=512 conv=sync ; sync".
Is there a deb for mysql and if so where is it?

Can someone point me to the documentation to configure the traffic
shaper module for the kernel?

Some time ago, someone recommended a good simple replacement for the
stock ftpd (not wu ftpd). I have looked through old messages but cannot
locate it so I must ask again?
TIA

Using Hamm - 2.0.33 monolithic kernel with ne compiled in. Trying to
get two ne2000 cards to work. Doesn't seen to operate like 1.3.
Putting the hardware parameters in lilo.conf doesn't seem to have any
effect. Also, the mini-howto for multiple ethernets seems to have
dissapeared off the net.
