Windows XP is also not
able to mount the HDD when it is attached via the hub. apparently those
devices need a hub with external power supply to provide them with their
power consumption requirements.

Hi there!!
Just wanted to know please if there's a way to block a specific program
from accessing the Internet while preserving at the same time the ability
of other programs to access the Internet, and if there's a way, so how?
Thanks in advance!!

Thanks for replying!
Unfortunately, when invoking the 'iptables' command with the arguments
you've suggested, the program says:
iptables v1.4.14: unknown option --cmd-owner
Try `iptables -h' or 'iptables --help' for more information.

I've used the following command:
mount -t vfat /dev/sdc /mnt/SANSA
I've also did a search on all the directories and sub-directories inside
the Sansa music player but nothing has been found!

Sorry I didn't clarify myself enough, but when I said that I don't see any
files I've meant only to the audio files which I've inserted through
WINXP. all the so called 'Sansa stock files' I'm able to see them.

OK, so if this doesn't answer on your question, how can I check that the
active kernel and initramfs are the intended one
and not an older version ?

the problem since the 'wicd' network manager which I use
to configure my network connections isn't able to detect the TP-LINK
wireless device. I also don't know what's its interface name to provide it
to the 'wicd' network manager. hope you've a solution.
Thanks in advance!!

I've configured my boot loader (Syslinux in my case) to load the new
kernel image and the new initrd.img corresponding to the new kernel but
unfortunately, this didn't solve the problem.
Did you check that the active kernel and initramfs are the intended one
and not an older
it, but I
unable to use it because it doesn't appear on the wicd window of available
interfaces.
What should I do in order to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance!!
