I have exactly the same problem. My kernel is 2.6.8-2-386 the one that comes with the distribution. I also can not find documentation on how to deal with USB storage in kernels 2.6.*. The same happened me with the audio ( I have an old ISA soundblaster on a pentium II system, that debian didn't detect automatically) , and was solved with 'modprobe sb', so maybe you only need to do 'modprobe usb-storage' I'm going to try this myself later.
I hope that helps Cesar. ______________________________________________ Renovamos el Correo Yahoo! 1GB de capacidad, nuevos servicios y más seguridad http://correo.yahoo.es -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
