I've recently come across an old monocrome
display/display card. It works fine in dos,
but I can't figure out how to use it in Linux.
Can I e.g. create some device like /dev/console?
I'd appreciate any help.

I´m about to move a web-server (Debian) from one place to another
and have to change IP. I now like to install and use DNS on the server.
I´d like the DNS in the new server to handle my domain. My domain
is now handled by my ISP but I need the ability to add and remove
hostnames.
I guess this is
Telia (operator of telecom services in Sweden) is
having a drive on ISDN equipment and I´m thinking
of buying a ISDN-box.
But before I make my decision I need to know how
Debian handles ISDN, if it manages Bandwidth On

I also need to know what adapters I could use and
if the
ICQ is available in java and works under Linux.
Check http://www.icq.com for details.

I have a local network that consists of 2 win95 and 1 debian box.
The debian box has an isdn connection to the Internet.
There is one Problem:
The win95 boxes make the debian box dial exactly dial every 5 minutes,
each. This is getting very expensive.
I have experienced this problem to.
It was
-matrix, I suppose 180 DPI.
I could theoretically use ghostscript for printing, but I'm confident that
that would be *very slow indeed*.
Is there a slimmer way of getting DVI files onto a dot-matrix printer?
Best,

This might not be a Debian specific question.
In that case, please accept my apology.
Is it possible for a Linux box running a DNS
server to query a WINS server running on a NT
box?
Can I have the Linux DNS serving non WINS klients
and still get the same name-resolving?
