I've got a Debian-box, a small laptop with DOS, and a Laplink cable.
What is an easy method to connet the Debian-box and DOS-box with the
Laplink-cable so that I could easily at least copy files from the othe
machine to the other?
(The Debian box hasn't got any DOS-partition, so
I am running slink on 5x86/100, 32 megs of RAM and I quite like it. I'd like
to have 48 megs just because I run samba and NFS and wannna to have some
services on it. I use netscape (4.6 now) and i had staroffice installed but
i removed it cause i didn't like it...
Now, the only one problem
Now my system hangs during boot. I can't seem to recover with my disaster
disk. The disaster disk fails giving me the Loading Linux ... and then
Boot failed error.
I guess that disaster disk has been made during the installation process,
it tries to jump to the linux on your harddrive.

Why not add a kind of VIEWPATH environment variable to the install tool.
(like in some compilers) The package that is found first in the list of
directories

Are they both on the same controller ?
Which disk is the master, which disk is the slave ?
You can only boot from a master disk.
Set the jumpers right (I hope you still have the documentation for the disks)

The NE2000 PCI-module is probing a number of addresses,
make sure that your card is configured for one of those addresses.
This can probably be done with the DOS-program (sorry) you have got
with your card,
